Mission Statement

The CHASE Ministries is a non=profit ministry of the St. Francisville United Methodist Church.  It is dedicated to sharing Jesus' life through providing quality care to children within a spiritual environment.

CHASE Ministries Daycare Director Position

St. Francisville United Methodist Church (UMC) is seeking a full time Director for our childcare ministry. Salary depends on education and experience. ​
Background of Organization: 
CHASE (Children Having a Spiritual Environment) Ministries is a non-profit childcare ministry of St. Francisville United Methodist Church. CHASE is dedicated to sharing Jesus’ life through providing quality care to children, within a spiritual environment. This childcare ministry accepts infants through 4 year-olds and includes all day care, before- and after-school care and a summer day camp program for school-aged children. CHASE seeks to encourage growth in all areas of the children’s lives: Spiritual, emotional, social, cognitive, educational and physical. ​

-Excellent computer and technology skills using emails, spreadsheets, and book-keeping software
-Excellent organizational, problem-solving and time-management skills
-Excellent leadership and supervision skills
Responsibilities:
-Executing the day-to-day operations of CHASE Ministries in keeping with organizational, state and federal policies, licensing requirements and procedures
-Ensuring a safe, happy and stimulating environment for children
-Planning and executing an annual operating budget
-Managing, training and supervising of daycare staff
-Maintaining a professional appearance, attitude and work ethic at all times
-Attending and participating in staff meetings of CHASE and of St. Francisville UMC staff, CHASE events and parent meetings as requested
-Assisting teachers with managing behavior problems
-Keeping the CHASE Committee informed of necessary information regarding the care and safety of children
-Assisting in other daily CHASE Ministry duties on a substitute/temporary basis in the event that other personnel are not available
-Any other duties as assigned by the SPRC and/or CHASE Committee  
Position Description:
The CHASE Director is responsible for all aspects of the ministry’s operation in accordance with state policies and licensing standards to provide a sound education in a nurturing and safe environment for students. The Director demonstrates leadership abilities by creating and maintaining a positive learning environment and consistently adheres to St. Francisville UMC’s Safe Sanctuary policy. The Director is responsible for all school operations. The Director meets expectations for delivering exceptional customer service to families with children at CHASE as well as those interested in enrolling their children in CHASE.
It is the responsibility of the CHASE Director to execute the general goals, philosophy and ministry of CHASE Ministries and St. Francisville UMC. This position answers directly to the CHASE Committee, with the Staff Parish Relations Committee (SPRC) ultimately overseeing all staff; the Senior Pastor serving as on-site support and liaison with SPRC.  Consistent communication with these individuals is also required. 
Minimum Requirements
-Must have a love for children.
-Must be 21 years of age or older and willing to obtain child care certification, if not already certified
-Must have a well-developed philosophy on the education of young children which aligns with the philosophy of CHASE Ministries AND one of the following:
-A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, business management, accounting, organizational leadership or similar.
-An associate’s degree in child development or a closely related area.
-An early childhood ancillary certificate or Child Development Associate (CDA) Certificate
-Applicant must submit to and pass a background check
-Applicant must have experience (at least 3 years preferred) working in or leading a childcare facility.
