God has called us to make our ministries safe, protecting our children, youth and vulnerable adults from abuse and exploitation. God has also called us to create communities of faith where children, youth and vulnerable adults can be safe and grow strong.
Safe Sanctuaries® is a “social structure that is consistent with the gospel” (¶122) allowing our sanctuaries, classrooms, mission encounters, camps and retreats, and all spaces where we gather to worship and serve God to be places of trust.
St. Francisville UMC is committed to providing a safe and loving environment to all who work, worship and learn here. We require Safe Sanctuary training annually for all our staff and volunteers working with children and youth.
Below is our training video for staff and volunteers to complete the Safe Sanctuary requirements of St. Francisville UMC. The training video is approximately 6 minutes long.
Below are required staff and volunteer forms you can download and complete.
